The year was 1921 when the first personal organiser was launched in the UK - via mail order! Not many people probably know that the name Filofax comes from the description of "file of facts". But over the years, the word Filofax for many of us has become synonymous with planning and calendars in printed format, regardless of brand.
Despite the digital age, there is a great demand for the traditional "paper calendars". Scrolling, putting notepads, and marking in different colours is appreciated by many.
From 1 September 2024, organisers will no longer be sold with a dated section (diary). Instead, the binder will contain more undated pages and an undated year plan - more space for notes. Dated refills are available for purchase separately.
